Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)

The primary purpose of EOPS is to extend the opportunity for community college education to all who may benefit regardless of economic, social, and educational status. The opportunity includes helping students achieve their educational goals and objectives by obtaining career technical skills and certificates, associate degrees, and transferring to four-year institutions. Our services include academic counseling, priority registration, financial assistance (book vouchers and grants as funding permits), and student success workshops. Visit the EOPS webpage for more information.

  • Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education - CARE

CARE is designed for single parent students who participate in the EOPS program and receive CalWORKs/TANF assistance.  CARE provides child care grants for study time (as funding permits), success seminars, new and continuing student orientation, access to Food Pantry and holiday events.

Our program provides supportive services to CalWORKs recipients attending Cuyamaca College. We help students to achieve individual educational goals as well as learn employable skills with the ultimate goal of increased wage earning power to become economically self-sufficient.

  • CalWORKs of County of San Diego program designed to transition people from welfare to work. It provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families with minor children, to move families with children from dependency to self-sufficiency through employment.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program helps individuals who are pregnant or just had a baby, and children up to age 5 eat well, be active, and stay healthy. WIC welcomes partners, grandparents, foster parents, or guardians who care for eligible children. WIC services are provided at no cost to you.
